Funny Things

Maria says driving is like sewing??? I was trying to figure out what she was talking about. She explained "Well there's a peddle and you have to make sure you don't push it to hard, and go to fast. And you have to keep the car in between the lines, just like you have to guide the fabric in a straight line." I never thought of it like that, but I guess they are similar. It's funny what they think about....

I was going to go do some shopping today and I was going to be near Sonic, so I mentioned to Sean that it was "Happy Hour", and maybe I would stop and get a drink. He said "Happy Hour? I didn't know you had a "Happy Hour." And I jokingly relpied "Yeah every day between 2 and 4, you just happen to miss it."..... I guess I have been a little grouchy lately :)

The other day we were in the car driving and Alyssa was taking a mile a minute about the up comming Masqurade Party, and how excited she was bout it etc. etc. All of a sudden Hayden piped up and said "Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah" I wonder who he learned that from.

Very thoughtful...was she trying to hint that she can't wait to drive? Or that if she could sew then she would also be able to drive? I remember feeling like my kids would NEVER stop talking...I couldn't get in a thought of my own because it would always be interrupted! I'm assuming that nap time is between 2 and 4? Nap times were always my happy hours!

Kali: Thanks, I know!

Cherrie: Me Either

Sis. Lori: I think she was thinking maybe she could master driving since she has sewn a few times...and nap time is usually between 2 and 4, but it is also Sonic's Happy Hour when drinks are half price...both make me happy :)

LOL What a cute post! I love hearing the funny things our kids say (most of the time they're serious which makes me giggle even more) When I was a young mommy I tried to write down the silly things they asked or said. It's given us fits of laughter over the dinner table when i've read what they said back to them once they got older.

Hayden is soooo cute. Maria has it all figured out. Take my advice and train her on the sewing machine, much less stressful! Hope to see you for the masquerade party.

Yeah, I WONDER!!! Like father, like son, huh?!!

If I'd thought about that, I would have done a lot more sewing before I got my permit. I was fairly nervous. By fairly, I mean A LOT!

I really enjoy funny kid stories. I know my kids make me laugh everyday. Even when we aren't having the best day.

I remember when I thought that all there was to driving was turning the steering wheel. Maybe she should perfect her sewing skills so she will learn to drive easily when the time comes. lol.

Kids say the funniest things, even teenagers. You can't laugh at them as easily as little kids though, they are easily offended.

I am also enjoying Happy Hour with sonic 5 minutes away.
